Karen practices in criminal, regulatory, coronial and administrative law matters.
She appears on behalf of the defence and prosecution in all criminal proceedings, including at an appellate level, and is experienced in occupational health and safety and environment matters. Karen also appears in VCAT and the Coroners Court, particularly in matters involving criminal or regulatory matters.

Karen was admitted to practice in 2002 and signed the Bar Roll in 2010. Before coming to the Bar, Karen was a senior lawyer in WorkSafe Victoria's enforcement group where her work involved OHS prosecutions, VCAT reviews of WorkSafe decisions and coronial inquests. Prior to that she worked at the Office of Public Prosecutions where she specialised in appellate work and complex legal policy and advice work.
Karen has a Master of Laws (LLM) specialising in corporate regulation, criminal law and human rights.
